Reliable Man: Royal Ascot hopeful

Alain de Royer-Dupre is expecting a big run from Reliable Man in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.

Last year's French Derby winner has been well beaten in two starts this term, behind Cirrus Des Aigles in the Prix Ganay and Golden Lilac in the Prix d'Ispahan.

He will be taking on the likes of So You Think, Carlton House and Cirrus Des Aigles again, but Royer-Dupre believes he is peaking at the right time.

"It's a very strong race, but I think he's just coming right after two races," he said.

"Right from the beginning, this race has always been the target for him this season.

"The ground was very firm, there was no pace and it was impossible to come from so far back in the d'Ispahan last time out.

"We have to just forget the race, it should suit him better at Ascot."
