Redcar: Morning inspection

Redcar: Morning inspection

Friday's meeting at Redcar is subject to a precautionary inspection at 7.30am.

Clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson said: "It's purely precautionary.

"The ground is good at the moment and we've only had eight millimetres of rain today, but we've decided to call an inspection in light of the forecast.

"We could get anything between 24 and 30 millimetres tonight if we're unlucky, so we've decided to be sensible and give ourselves that option if we need to exercise it in the morning.

"Redcar generally gets less rain than the main part of Yorkshire, so fingers crossed."
