Racing will go ahead as planned at Redcar today after a planned precautionary inspection was cancelled.

Officials had called an 0730 BST check in light of an overnight forecast for possible heavy rain.

However, after seeing just three millimetres of rain, it was decided there was no need to inspect conditions and the meeting will take place on reported good ground.
