Fennell Bay: Could run at Newmarket
King George V Stakes winner Fennell Bay could bid to complete a quick hat-trick in the £150,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Cup at Newmarket on Saturday.
Mark Johnston's Dubawi colt won over a mile at Sandown on June 16 and followed up over half a mile further just five days later.
He could now drop back to 10 furlongs for the valuable sales race after recovering from his Royal Ascot exertions.
"He's absolutely fine," said Johnston.
"There's a possibility he could run in the sales race at Newmarket this weekend."
He is one of 41 left in the contest along with Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Samitar from Mick Channon's yard while others of note include Cameron Highland, Rougemont and Archbishop.
