Tha'ir: Goodwood possible

Tha'ir: Goodwood possible

Godolphin's Chesham Stakes winner Tha'ir could have his next run at Glorious Goodwood.

The diminutive son of Derby hero New Approach was one of three winners for the first-season sire at the Royal meeting along with Newfangled and Dawn Approach.

A winner at Ripon previously, he stepped up on that form to give Frankie Dettori his second success of the week.

"He's a very nice colt and he looked good when he won the time before," said trainer Saeed bin Suroor.

"He did a piece of work five days before his race and I was so impressed that I told all the boys that I thought he would run a very good race.

"There is not much of him, he's only little, but he has a very big engine.

"We'll go for a Group Two race next, possibly at Goodwood (Vintage Stakes)."

Bin Suroor is, meanwhile, still considering the options for Gold Cup winner Colour Vision.

He said: "Colour Vision was brilliant, the only question mark he had was on the ground, he doesn't like it soft.

"Thankfully by the time of his race on Thursday, the ground was not too bad.

"I was confident in him and when I knew the ground wasn't heavy, I thought he'd run well.

"Frankie gave him a great ride, he was in the right position all the way.

"He's special because he's a stayer with a turn of foot, he showed that at Kempton on his first run for me.

"There's no decision where he runs next but we'll be looking for Group One races.

"He came back sound and happy so we'll see."
