Marco Botti: Targeting Eclipse
Crackerjack King is set to make his British debut in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown next Saturday following a pleasing workout on Saturday morning.
The Marco Botti-trained four-year-old, winner of seven of his eight starts including the Italian Derby, pleased connections in his latest exercise in the hands of Ryan Moore.
"Crackerjack King worked very well this morning under Ryan Moore. He is in very good form and whilst the Coral-Eclipse will be a very competitive race I think Sandown Park and in particular the stiff finish will really suit him and it is his best trip.
"We would prefer good ground for the race. With regards jockeys we will be using Ryan Moore or Frankie Dettori depending on Sir Michael Stoute and Godolphin running plans."
