Five Ladbrokes St Leger entries will go on trial for Doncaster in the Bet365 Gordon Stakes at Goodwood on Tuesday.
They are headed by Michelangelo, who is second-favourite behind Camelot in some markets for the final Classic of the season and represents four-time Leger winner John Gosden.
Michelangelo won the Listed Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood on just his second start and looked strong in a victory at Newmarket last time but he faces stern opposition by way of Frankel's younger brother Noble Mission, who was second to stablemate Thomas Chippendale at Royal Ascot.
Queen's Vase third Ed De Gas, Godolphin's lightly-raced Encke and Minimise Risk have entries in the Leger, while Farhaan and Peter Schiergen's German raider Girolamo provide some added interest.
