Soul: Out of today's Betfred Sprint Cup

Soul, the intended mount of Frankie Dettori, has been ruled out of this afternoon's Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock due to the quick ground.

The Tim Easterby-trained Confessional is also a non-runner ahead of the Group One contest, for which Ortensia is a drifting favourite.

The Australian mare is going for her third big-race win on these shores after taking prizes at Goodwood and York, but has been joined by Bated Breath at the head of the betting.

Roger Charlton's inmate is bidding for a first top-level prize having been just touched off in this contest a year ago.
