Frankel: Works at Newmarket before racing on Saturday

Frankel: Works at Newmarket before racing on Saturday

Spectators at Newmarket are being invited to watch in style as the world's greatest racehorse is put through his paces on Saturday.

Frankel, unbeaten in his 13 races and who made his debut on the July Course at Newmarket a little over two years ago, is galloping on the Rowley Mile - at approximately 1pm - in preparation for his tilt at the Champion Stakes on QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot next month.

Newmarket Racecourses is laying on an exclusive Champagne Brunch so that visitors can enjoy the spectacle in luxurious surroundings.

Amy Starkey, Newmarket Racecourses's managing director, said: "Saturday is the climax of the three-day Betfred Cambridgeshire Festival and we are thrilled that Frankel will be here before racing begins to have a racecourse gallop. It will begin a superb day of racing for our racegoers and we are delighted to be able to offer them a Champagne Brunch."

The Brunch, which is served from 11.30am onwards, includes a Premier Enclosure admission badge, a racecard and a smoked salmon and scrambled egg breakfast served with a glass of Champagne or Eggs Benedict with a Bloody Mary. The facility is available until the end of racing.

The offer is available to purchase for £43 plus VAT online at www.newmarketracecourses.co.uk or by telephone (0844 579 3010) quoting code FRCAM12.
