Towcester: Goes ahead as planned

Towcester: Goes ahead as planned

This afternoon's meeting at Towcester will go ahead as planned after the course passed an impromptu 8am inspection.

No problems were anticipated overnight by clerk of the course Robert Bellamy but after double the forecasted amount of rain fell he was forced to inspect.

When daylight came, however, Bellamy and his team were happy enough to give the meeting the green light.

Bellamy said: "We're going ahead. It's very wet but we're raceable.''
