Boastful, the outsider of the six runner field, upset her more fancied rivals in the Mobile Casino British Stallion Studs E.B.F. Conqueror Stakes at Goodwood.

The Clodovil filly was having her first start for Elaine Burke having arrived from France and made the perfect start for her new connections despite hanging across the track in the closing stages.

Raasekha had cut out the running in the first half of the race, stalked all the while by the uneasy favourite Barefoot Lady who took up the running inside the final quarter of a mile of the Listed contest

Her effort was relatively short-lived however, as Boastful and Neil Callan swept through to take up the running with a furlong of the mile event to run.

The four year old, who made her debut in the colours of Godolphin back in 2010, did her best to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory when hanging across the track but kept her forward momentum going to score by a length and a half from Winter's Night with Raasekha just getting the better of Barefoot Lady for third.
