Verdict

MAZOVIAN had been back on a winning mark for some time before finally taking advantage over C&D a week ago under today's apprentice. It looks like Michael Chapman has found him a decent opportunity to follow up in this lower grade and he gets the vote. Monte Cassino is another recent C&D winner and he should be thereabouts again, but the likes of Beachwood Bay and Ace Master have something to prove now as they've struggled off higher marks since earlier wins at this track. Arachnophobia was beaten eight lengths, despite finishing second here last time, but Dickie Le Davoir and Ace Of Spies are still capable of popping up on their day.
