Verdict

Falcon's Reign failed to land the odds for a second time when third over a mile here last time and was beaten over today's shorter trip on his debut at Wolverhampton. It could pay to take him on here with DARTFORD, as John Gosden's colt was strongly fancied to make a winning debut back in November. He could only finish a modest fifth at Wolverhampton on that occasion but much better is expected today with that experience under his belt. Newcomer Saharan Air cost 85,000 euros and is worth monitoring for any strong support, while Diamond Marks and Elite both look capable of further improvement.
