Verdict

Although nominally the same grade of race that HOLDEN EAGLE won over C&D last time, this is less competitive and Tony Newcombe's charge can complete a hat-trick despite a further 5lb rise. Den Maschine bids for a hat-trick of a different kind as he followed up a win over track and trip with victory over hurdles at Sandown earlier this month. He's clearly in fine fettle at present but does have an 11lb rise to contend with, while Fire In Babylon has struggled off today's mark since scoring at Kempton in January. Revolving World has been in better form at Southwell recently though his only win to date came way back in 2007 so the veteran Harare could prove best of the rest.
