Verdict

The trial for this was an unsatisfactory affair won by the outsider Do It All, who made all under a very canny ride from Silvestre De Sousa. Derbaas finished runner-up, Dux Scholar was third, Sandagiyr fourth and Viscount Nelson, who had previously beaten the winner out of sight, back in seventh. It's very unlikely the result will be confirmed and the latter looks the one to take from the race. Godolphin have won six of the previous 11 renewals and AFRICAN STORY can continue the run as though he was behind Sandagiyr last time they met he had no sort of run and Frankie takes over the reins. Richard's Kid is a high-class performer who has yet to strike form at the Carnival while the UK challengers Western Aristocrat and last year's third Red Jazz will have been prepared to the minute and either could take this.
