Verdict

Three of the five entries, IBICENCO, Dawn Twister and Steuben, are imports from Germany, the former pair being ex-stablemates. The former ended last season with a brilliant half-length defeat by Campanologist in a Group 1 at Cologne and an entry in the Gold Cup suggests he's regarded as a future top stayer. Dawn Twister, a Listed winner on heavy ground, also ran in smart company and looks a very nice acquisition for Lucy Wadham and though Steuben hasn't been seen for almost two years he also had form at Group level and anything sent from this yard has to be noted. Midsummer Sun has the benefit of a recent run having comfortably landed a Lingfield handicap and is progressing very nicely while Troopingthecolour completed a hat-trick last summer after missing the whole of 2010.
