Verdict

Edgeworth went close in an amateurs' race at Doncaster last month but it's hard to get carried away with that form despite Jamie Spencer taking over the reins today. DAZZLING VALENTINE makes more appeal as she's been raised 2lb for a narrow-margin victory over C&D last time but remains on a lower mark than when scoring at this track last year. Shabak Hom hasn't taken to hurdling and his only wins on the Flat came on turf but Saint Thomas ended a long losing streak when winning over C&D last month and should be thereabouts again.
