Verdict

Billyvoddan beat UPTON SPRINGS, former Festival winner Amicelli and Lady Myfanwy here 12 months ago but has 8lb more to carry this time around. Sarah-Jayne Davies' mare is fancied to turn the tables, therefore, as she only gave best on the climb to the line last year and may well have lasted longer out in front had her fellow pace-setters been able to keep her company on the final circuit. Lady Myfanwy could do better this year as she's been in fine form between the flags while Unowatimeen was still touch when falling in the Fox Hunters' at Aintree and should be thereabouts if fully recovered. Prince Massini may be best of the rest.
