Verdict

Shoegazer's latest run came in a Grade 3 handicap hurdle over 3m1f at Aintree off a mark of 135. He won over 2m4f at Chepstow earlier and there's no doubt he's the one to beat here if translating that ability to fences. However, this trip will take some getting on the prevailing ground so we're going to take him on with LORD TOMNODDY. Kim Bailey's 10-year-old is very lightly raced but ran well for a long way on his return to action at Chepstow and gives every impression he'll be suited by a severe test of stamina. The other pair may struggle to make an impact.
