Verdict

CHOOKIE HAMILTON has found a new lease of life on the all-weather recently and could prove the one to beat back at this track. He's won five times here, four over C&D, and Ian Semple's charge is taken to confirm recent running with Pertemps Network and notch up another victory. Law To Himself lived up to his name at Pontefract last time when dumping his rider leaving the stalls but has claims if on his best behaviour while Sangar returned to action with a good effort at Beverley, though both of last year's wins came over a shorter trip. Tapis Libre also has something to prove over today's distance after winning an apprentices' race at Pontefract last time over 1m2f.
