Verdict

ROCK CRITIC hasn't had much experience for his age and his best form has been shown on quicker going but Dermot Weld appears to have found a good opportunity for him to make a winning return to action. Waydownsouth comes out level with him on official ratings but he last ran over two miles and this looks a warm-up for something rather longer. Lightening Stricks has only ever won on the all-weather and has never raced on ground with any sort of give but don't be surprised by big runs from Mojita and Simla Sunset, who both have plenty to do on ratings but will like the conditions and are not out of this.
