Verdict

I'll Be Good has already had four runs this season but won't mind the ground and Mikael Barzalona's booking is a positive. Es Que Love bolted up at Pontefract on his reappearance and never looked in danger of defeat when beating Sans Loi over C&D next time. He's 7lb higher today but a hat-trick can't be ruled out and he looks a better bet than stablemate Fulbright. Tioman Legend is unexposed, as is Sir Michael Stoute's Ultrasonic, while Mezzotint stepped up markedly on his run behind Es Que Love at Pontefract to finish second at Kempton and could go well. Personal Touch was only beaten a nose over 5f at Nottingham but is racing from 4lb out of the handicap and more interesting is DEMOCRETES. Richard Hannon's colt was successful over C&D on only his second start as a juvenile and his only bad run thereafter came over a longer trip. He starts the new campaign on a decent mark and should be in the firing-line in an open race.
