Verdict

Little Village had shown virtually nothing until gaining a shock victory over 6f in a Navan handicap on Sunday. That was her first start for Kieran Cotter and she's likely to improve again though a 7lb rise won't help. Sovereign Secure has now gone 30 starts without winning but she came very close at Tipperary last month when only run out of it close home. However, she's run poorly here in the past and connections won't be happy with a 3lb rise. PHEBES WISH has been gelded since his three poor juvenile efforts and was sent to Wolverhampton for his first start of the campaign last month. He was well supported and though only having a neck to spare at the finish won with something in hand and can complete the double. Measured Approval, a C&D winner, has generally competed at a higher level and Danny Benson's claim should ensure he gets competitive.
