Verdict

With a rating of 139, PICKAPOCKETORTWO has a bit in hand here and though potential punters will need to forgive a poor run at Thurles in January his earlier defeat of Ipsos Du Berlais there would be good enough for this. Awkward Moment has been chasing and scored at Thurles last month and that's more likely to be his game from now on. Don't Back Down beat Lord Gale at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day and can do better than he showed on his only subsequent start at Ayr the following month but Archie Meade has 13lb to find with the selection on official ratings, though there was plenty to admire in his defeat of a big field in a Fairyhouse handicap a month ago and he's probably capable of better.
