Verdict

Solar Spirit was well beaten off a higher mark last time having scored over C&D before that. He remains closely matched with runner-up Madam Macie here as the latter was raised a harsh-looking 5lb for finishing second. The 775,000 dollar yearling PRESIDENT LINCOLN failed to score for Aidan O'Brien but won a maiden at Musselburgh last month on his first start for Declan Carroll. He's open to further progress this year and gets the nod ahead of Klynch, who found only stablemate Orpsie Boy too good at Thirsk on Saturday. Levitate went close at Doncaster last time and also has claims along with the returning Green Howard.
