Verdict

PRINCELY PLAYER won at Taunton and only found the promising Black Thunder too strong under a penalty at Chepstow. He handled soft ground well enough that day and can return to winning ways here at the chief expense of Black Thunder's stablemate Curtain Razer. The six-year-old hasn't progressed from a debut second over 2m6f here in November and may be in need of a confidence-booster after falling at Bangor last time. King Edmond is a useful chaser but has yet to win in eight starts over timber and may have to settle for a place again here.
