Verdict

GOODWOOD STARLIGHT has been lightly raced over the last 12 months but did win a seller at Uttoxeter in November and has generally competed at a higher level than this. He has to concede weight all round here but that is partly offset by the fact that McCoy is back in the plate and Jim Best's seven-year-old can return to winning ways. The danger is probably Lilac Belle, who has won and been placed here since the turn of the year though the four-year-old Ponte Di Rosa was successful over C&D in March before finishing fourth in a Ludlow claimer and is another to consider.
