Verdict

King Of The Refs had been going well before a poor effort at Punchestown and he'll need to bounce back. Auenschutze, a winner on the Flat and over hurdles, ran a bit better in a handicap over fences last time while Clouded Thoughts is bred for this game and has performed with credit over hurdles on fast ground. El Fontan has had his jumping problems but would be a big threat if managing a clear round but FERRIS BUELLER is handed the vote. Conor O'Dwyer's charge once looked promising but lost his way until a much better effort last time behind Byerley Bear at Cork. A repeat of that would probably be good enough though the point-to-point winner Prince Ludovic showed his potential with a maiden victory over timber at Clonmel and can make his presence felt.
