Verdict

Though he's won his last two starts here, PARADISE EXPECTED is still receiving weight from a couple of modest performers. A hat-trick beckons for Tim Vaughan's much-improved gelding as he's certain to relish underfoot conditions unlike veteran Derawar, who had a hard race on heavy ground at Hereford just six days ago. Border Lad didn't beat much at Exeter last week but that was his first run over fences so there should be more to come, though he has a penalty to defy here as well as a longer trip. Amazing Valour could be the pick of the remainder but isn't the force of old.
