Verdict

Count Brando is the only one of these with experience but it's difficult to evaluate his easy victory between the flags at Oldcastle with a race of this nature. The surprising statistic is that Willie Mullins hasn't won any of the previous ten renewals but Well Read Man is sure to be a warm order to put matters right. His pedigree is all about chasing and on this occasion he may find MELLIFONT ABBEY has too much pace for him. Jessica Harrington's charge is a full-brother to the high-class 1m4f winner Phoenix Reach and a half-brother to several winners on the level so should have the basic speed for bumpers. Our Native Land is another who should do much better when eventually sent chasing.
