Verdict

There are some well-connected newcomers on show including Forbidden Fruit, a half-brother to six winners including the useful Hymn Of Love. Richard Hannon won this last year so Janoub Nibras has to be respected as he's the fourth foal of a mare who has already produced three winners. The Manx Missile is very speedily-bred and is one to note but experience is the key in these conditions so HOTOTO looks the one to be on as he was a very unlucky loser in what looked a hot event at Musselburgh. Mick Channon has won this twice in recent years so Cay Verde, who looked very green at Newbury, must also go on the short-list.
