Verdict

The experience of an opening second at Doncaster won't be lost on Barracuda Boy and today's extra furlong is certain to suit. He shouldn't be far away but this is a race littered with nicely-bred juveniles and Mark Johnston's WINDHOEK is taken to make a winning debut. He cost 110,000gns and is by Cape Cross out of a mare that was placed in Listed company as a two-year-old. Euxton Hall is a half-brother to winners in Germany and Sweden while Annunciation's dam was a speedy juvenile. Sir Mark Prescott's charges usually improve with experience, however, and the Oasis Dream colt Oasis Cannes is probably best watched today.
