Verdict

CANNON BOLT left last year's form behind when forging clear of the field and winning by seven lengths at Musselburgh last week. A 10lb rise and softer ground makes this a tougher task but today's opposition don't inspire much confidence and Robin Bastiman's charge can go in again. Monte Cassino failed to follow up a win at Southwell when well beaten at the same track off today's mark in February, while Fair Bunny will relish the ground but has something to prove over this distance. Tombellini and Double Carpet have the past form to figure and Shaker Style has won at this level but hasn't raced since 2009.
