Verdict

There will be some long faces at the Varian yard if SHALEEK doesn't break her maiden here. The Pivotal filly has finished runner-up on all three starts, twice going off a short-priced favourite. However, she looks to have been found a gilt-edged opportunity and cannot be opposed. Isola Verde, a daughter of Oasis Dream, makes her racecourse debut for James Fanshawe and should be good enough to make the frame. The market should reflect stable expectations on her debut. Elegant Girl has run respectably on both maiden outings to date and there should be more to come, although she will surely be handicap-bound after this third run of her career.
