Verdict

John Gosden won last year's renewal with subsequent Oaks third Izzi Top and STARSCOPE makes most appeal here. She's not in the Oaks as yet but today's trip should be within her compass given she was doing all her best work in the closing stages of the 1000 Guineas to take the runners-up spot. Stablemate and Guineas fourth The Fugue gave the form a boost when landing the Musidora at York earlier this week and the Selkirk filly looks the one to beat. Firdaws is a big price for the Oaks at present but those odds will be snapped up if the Fillies' Mile third lands this on her reappearance. She makes more appeal than Lacily, Momentary and Shirocco Star, though the latter will appreciate today's longer trip, while further progress is expected from Sandown winner Morant Bay given her yard has won this twice in recent years.
