Verdict

EVER ROSES won over C&D last season and will appreciate the return to testing ground after three modest efforts so far this season. She's just preferred to last year's winner Foreign Rhythm, who went close in an amateurs' race last time, while Untold Melody makes her handicap bow having scored on the Fibresand last month and she has scope for further progress. Sally's Swansong and Sparking look in the handicapper's grip at present but Amazing Win has slipped down the weights and may finish closer.
