Verdict

550,000gns colt Pursuitoexcellence makes his belated debut and has presumably shown some ability at home although Sir Michael Stoute also runs Scottish Vespers. The latter finished third at Windsor on last month's debut and Ryan Moore keeps the ride but POETIC POWER could prove better value. He was unfancied on the Polytrack here on his reappearance and finished a modest sixth but breeding suggests he'll relish today's longer trip and David Elsworth's charge gets the nod. Newcomer Clowance Estate is a 115,000gns gelding and a half-brother to a 7f winner while Dalayir showed some ability when placed in France in 2010 and makes his debut for new connections here.
