Verdict

HILBRE COURT has four course wins to his credit but all over a mile including his latest win a fortnight ago. However, he likes to race up with the pace and, if allowed to take an early lead again, today's rivals will have some trouble pegging him back. Putin couldn't catch him here last time and Tenancy has reverted to his more usual woeful efforts since scoring over C&D in March. Norcroft was only beaten a length the last time he raced here, however, and the veteran looks a bigger threat than previous C&D winner Adam De Beaulieu.
