Verdict

Dermot Weld won the first running of this a year ago and will be expecting Swerve to follow suit and the filly did very well when just failing to concede 7lb to Rock On Ciara on soft ground at Listowel. There's probably more to come from her but TRIUMPHANT will take some beating. The Ballydoyle colt scored over a mile at Gowran on his second juvenile start and may have found 7f just too short on his comeback at the Curragh. Mizani landed what looked a fair maiden at Naas when there was plenty of give in the ground but Brendan Brackan will need to improve if he's to remain unbeaten after his Down Royal victory.

Triumphant (IRE) 9-4 (9-3) Tracked leader in 2nd, ridden to challenge over 1f out, led briefly inside final furlong, headed and no impression on winner final 100 yards, 3rd of 5, 1 1/2l behind Takar (9-3) at Curragh 7f 3yo lst stk (1) sft in May.

While You Wait (IRE) 40-1 (9-3) Always rear, driven along soon after halfway and lost touch before straight, last of 7, 20l behind Light Heavy (9-3) at Leopardstown 1m 2f 3yo Grp 3 (1) gd in Apr.

Ronan's Bay (USA) 20-1 (9-0) Chased leaders on outer, ridden along in 4th halfway, no extra and dropped to rear entering straight, eased when beaten final furlong, 9th of 10, 24l behind Yellow Rosebud (9-0) at Leopardstown 1m 3yo fll Grp 3 (1) in May.

Swerve 10-3fav (9-2) Soon led, strongly pressed 1f out, stayed on well fina furlong, headed near line, 2nd of 7, nk behind Rock On Ciara (8-9) at Listowel 1m hcp 60-90 gf.
