Verdict

It could pay to stick with CLEAR SPRING in his current form. He added to an earlier victory at Southwell when following up with a three-length win on the Turf at Lingfield on Saturday and a penalty looks unlikely to prevent the hat-trick. Cut The Cackle pops up at this level in her turn and did so at Hamilton last week while Jonnie Skull also returned to winning ways at Yarmouth last time, though 6lb extra may anchor him in this. Basle and Highland Harvest were both placed on their latest starts and are other to consider.
