It's difficult to be over-confident about any of these though ex-pointer Ballyhilty Bridge appears to boast the best form having finished fourth to My Legal Lady at Newton Abbot on his debut under Rules. Its Ruby was a distant third at the same track on her hurdles bow but let's take a chance on the four-year-old PRESENTING PADDY, who has a jumping pedigree and is also bred to stay. A £20,000 purchase at the start of the year, he'll have learned plenty from his racecourse debut in a Market Rasen bumper last month.
Ballyhilty Bridge 20-1 (10-12) Held up in touch in rear, headway after 3 out, went 3rd approaching next, no impression on leaders, one pace, lost 3rd close home, 4th of 8, 10l behind Littledean Jimmy (10-12) at Newton Abbot 2m 6f nh nov hdl (4) gd in May.
Keep A Welcome 100-1 (11-0) Mistake 1st, always towards rear, slow 3rd, struggling 7th, tailed off, 8th of 13, well behind Hindon Road (11-0) at Fontwell 2m 4f mdn hdl (5) gs in May.
My Friend Riquet (FR) 33-1 (11-0) Chased leaders, ridden and weakened after 3 out, tailed off, 11th of 12, well behind Romeo Americo (11-0) at Fontwell 2m 2f NH mdn hdl (4) gs.
Presenting Paddy (IRE) 9-2 (10-12) Tracked leader, ridden over 3f out, weakened 2f out, 5th of 9, 33l behind Wake Your Dreams (10-12) at Market Rasen 2m 1f NH flat (6) gd in May.
Charlies Lady 20-1 (10-7) Tracked winner, ridden over 2f out, weakened final furlong, 4th of 5, 17l behind Chilworth Screamer (10-0) at Fontwell 1m 6f NH flat (6) gd in Mar.
Its Ruby 25-1 (10-5) Took keen hold, headway to lead 2nd, headed 4th, chased leader until after 6th, weakened 3 out, left poor 3rd last, tailed off, 3rd of 9, 35l behind Wiffy Chatsby (10-12) at Newton Abbot 2m 3f nov hdl (4) gf in May.
Riviere Ruby 200-1 (10-4) Held up, ridden and struggling 5f out, 7th of 9, 35l behind Wintered Well (10-12) at Market Rasen 2m 1f NH flat (5) gd in May.
