Verdict

Stipulate finished a couple of lengths ahead of Tales Of Grimm when runner-up to Cogito in a Listed race over a mile at Sandown three weeks ago. His earlier no-show over today's trip can be forgiven as it came on heavy ground and Sir Henry Cecil's charge makes more appeal than stablemate Wrotham Heath. The latter is closely matched with the progressive Grandeur on latest running in a handicap at Epsom but the latter may reverse running on better terms while the third horse carrying owner Khalid Abdulla's colours, Starboard, got back on track at Doncaster last time having failed to land the odds at Newmarket before that. Crius proved a big disappointment at the Curragh on his first start over today's trip and German raider ENERGIZER makes the most appeal. Jens Hirschberger's colt could only stay on at the one pace when fourth to Caspar Netscher in the German 2000 Guineas but this longer distance should see him in a better light and he gets the vote.
