Verdict

Unlike the majority of these, LOYAL MASTER is proven on soft ground and also won a nursery over C&D last year off a higher mark. David Griffiths' three-year-old could be worth be worth risking today as Iceblast has failed to take advantage of a tumble down the weights and the handicapper looks to have a grip on Striker Torres. Cut The Cackle is running well, however, and should be thereabouts again if handling the going while Meandmyshadow may be running into form. Eeny Mac is only 4lb higher than when successful over a mile here last time but that was a first win in 19 starts and he looks held by Meandmyshadow on last year's form at Ripon.
