Amber Heights has gone close on the all-weather this year but doesn't look particularly well handicapped as she searches for her first win while both of Clear Spring's victories this season came over 7f. Homeboy posted a better effort when third over C&D last week but finished last in soft ground before that so a chance is taken on MEMPHIS MAN as he won off a higher mark last year and didn't get a clear run when fourth at Ayr last time. Ridgeway Sapphire and Microlight are C&D winners but out of sorts at present.

Homeboy (IRE) 10-1 (8-10) Towards rear, headway on outside and hung left over 1f out, ran on inside final furlong, took 3rd close home, never nearer, 3rd of 10, 2l behind Whiteoak Lady (8-9) at Brighton 6f hcp 0-70 (5) gf.
