Verdict

Usa is the youngest in this line-up and makes his handicap debut after landing a maiden here last month. This is much tougher with Nurse Ryan and Rockazar both likely to be in the firing line after battling out a finish at Down Royal earlier this month when the former just prevailed. HEVELIUS has to be produced late and hit the front too soon at Clonmel but did just enough to land the spoils and he had more in hand the than winning margin implies. He can complete a quick double though C&D winner Split Ear has dropped to such a lowly mark that he looks certain to get involved in the finish.

City of Doral 7-1 (11-1) Held up towards rear, went 4th before 3 out, went 3rd before 2 out, no extra from last, 3rd of 7, 21l behind Harry Flashman (11-7) at Hexham 2m 4f hcp chs 0-120 (4) gd in May.

Hevelius 7-1 (10-10) Rear of mid-division, headway into 8th 4 out, improved to lead 2 out and soon ridden clear, not fluent at last, kept on under pressure, won at Clonmel 2m hcp hdl 80-109 sft beating Motaraqeb (11-2) by 2 1/4l, 15 ran.
