Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won the last six of these and CAMELOT looks better than any of them. The son of Montjeu has done absolutely everything asked of him so far and could hardly have been more impressive at Epsom where he quickened superbly on the fast ground. The going was much easier when he landed the 2000 Guineas earlier and it's impossible to see him defeated though he probably wouldn't want heavy going. Stablemate Imperial Monarch won the Classic Trial at Sandown before getting a shocking run in the French Derby but he's had a slight setback while Astrology, another from Ballydoyle, ran poorly at Royal Ascot last week after finishing a fine third at Epsom. Both Light Heavy and Speaking Of Which are fine prospects who deserve their step-up into the highest grade and John Oxx' pair Born To Sea and Akeed Mofeed are very useful performers though it's a surprise that both are racing beyond a mile for the first time. The former in particular will be well suited as he's very closely related to Sea The Stars and Galileo amongst others.
