Verdict

The forecast rain may well give MIGHTY CLARETS the edge in this opener. He scored on soft ground at Leicester before his latest close-up third on a similar surface over C&D last time and this is less competitive. He's preferred to Snooker, who bounced back to form with a second in testing ground at Redcar and should be thereabouts again. Brockwell beat Now My Sun when runner-up over track and trip last time but on faster going, while the likes of Rockweiller and Spavento would also prefer it to stay dry.
