Verdict

Naoise has been confined to Dundalk since November and has scored twice there. He's 12lb higher than for his last success and this looks tougher. Nanotech was rated 94 when last winning a race but that was over two years ago. He's now 27lb lower but ran only moderately from this mark at Limerick last time. MAN OF ERIN couldn't quite get there to complete a hat-trick over a mile here a fortnight ago and was just held by Balladiene, who scored again at Gowran on Tuesday. His two previous victories have been over this trip and he can get back on the winning trail, especially as he has nothing to fear from Diamond Daze at the weights. Eddie Lynam's filly was receiving 6lb in that latter event and only gets 1lb here though it's possible she hit the front too soon and Fran Berry replaces an apprentice.
