Verdict

Total Reality led for most of the way over 1m5f on heavy ground at Navan and Joseph O'Brien is an eye-catching booking. Placere carried a big weight to victory in an apprentice contest at Limerick and the progressive filly must be a threat to all with Conor Hoban able to claim 5lb. Fran Berry was hard at work on LETHAL WEAPON from a long way out at Roscommon but his mount, a Grade 1 winning hurdler, kept responding and finished strongly over the 1m2f trip. This looks ideal and he can score again though the lightly-raced Salam Alaykum won over this trip at Dundalk in December and was having his first start since when a good fourth here a month ago. Sun Disc returns from a long break but was in cracking form in the autumn and wouldn't be without a chance nor would the lightly-raced Cropley, who attempted to make all at the Curragh and could be ridden with more restraint this time. The progressive three-year-old Filatore is another with prospects in a very open contest.
