Verdict

PAS TROP TARD represents fairly unfashionable connections, so with a number of the big stables in opposition, we may end up getting a decent price about him. The five-year-old was in the process of running a solid race at Kelso before coming to grief, and on that evidence is worth another chance. Clarion Call is likely to be supported again by his beleaguered backers. Evan Williams' charge was well backed at Uttoxeter earlier in the week and he predictably found one too good despite making relentless headway close home. Compton Blue brings winning form to the table having prevailed under a power packed ride by Robert Thornton at Hereford. Reve De Nuit was a useful sort for Alan McCabe on the Flat though he would need to improve upon what he showed at Stratford on his debut. Danvilla is in receipt of a valuable fillies allowance and has obliged previously over two miles on the level.
